I’ve done this once before and I really liked it. I don’t buy powdered garlic or onion, so I just put a couple of cloves and a half of an onion in while it cooks. I usually leave the garlic and onion large so I can scoop it out later, but I might try mincing it and just leaving it in there next time. I also add a bit of hot sauce.
